The design
The pink version of the folk garden is calmer than the amber and warmer than the green: a chalky blush field with open flowers, buds and curling leaves spread evenly across it, framed by a slim border. It is the rug people buy for a child bedroom and then end up moving to the living room because it turned out to suit the whole house.
Palette notes
Blush pink ground with rose, cream, coral and sage in the blooms.
Where it lives
A bedroom at the foot of the bed, a nursery under a chair, or a small sitting room with pale furniture.
In the wash
Machine wash cold on gentle with no bleach and air-dry flat. A pale ground like this is exactly what the washability is for.
