The design
Eight by ten is the Mineral Wash at whole-room scale: a soft faux-wool field of grey and charcoal washing over ivory, with the visual depth of stone and none of the pattern politics.
Palette notes
Ivory through charcoal in cloudy gradients. It is the rug for rooms where the art, the sofa or the view is meant to lead.
Where it lives
Front legs of all seating on the rug in the living room, or under a queen or king bed. It makes open-plan spaces cohere without announcing itself.
In the wash
Machine wash cold, gentle cycle, no bleach, then air-dry flat or air-fluff. Between washes the mottled surface forgives everything short of paint.
