The design
Cream ground, folk animals, wildflower sprigs, 2 by 3 ft. This is the doormat for households where someone small will sit on it to put on shoes — it is soft enough for that, washable enough for what follows, and charming enough that nobody moves it once it is down.
Palette notes
Warm cream beige with grey, black, ochre, and rose figures. Blends with any entry and every nursery.
Where it lives
A nursery or kids’-room doorway, the bottom of the stairs, or the bathroom stool zone.
In the wash
The wash is the whole point at this color and location: cold, gentle, no bleach, air-dry, repeat as needed. It keeps coming back to cream.
