The design
A hallway this long is usually treated as a problem to be covered. In pink, with flowers and small birds running the full fourteen feet, it becomes the part of the house people comment on. The extra width keeps it from looking like a strip of tape down the floor, and the border runs unbroken from one end to the other.
Palette notes
Soft pink ground with rose, cream, coral and green in the flowers and birds.
Where it lives
A long bedroom hallway, an upstairs landing that runs the width of the house, or a bright kitchen with a single long aisle.
In the wash
Vacuum down the length regularly and wash cold on gentle with no bleach when the pale ground asks for it. Air-dry flat so the length stays true.
