The design
Nine by twelve covers a full living room floor, and at that scale the pink sampler becomes architecture: the floral border frames the whole seating area, and the painted cats are spaced far enough apart that you keep finding new ones from different chairs. It is a soft ground for a big room, which is rarer than it sounds — most rugs this size play it safe in grey.
Palette notes
Pale blush field, cream border, with the cast drawn in charcoal, ginger, sage and rose.
Where it lives
A large living room with every piece of furniture on the rug, or an open-plan space where the rug has to define the sitting area on its own.
In the wash
Even at this size the pile is low and the fabric washes cold on gentle with no bleach. Air-dry flat; rotate the rug twice a year for even wear.
