The design
This one takes the opposite approach to the faded greys: the green ground is rich and the classical floral on it is printed at full strength, with a wide cream border and a fine inner frame holding the whole field. At room size it gives a living room the weight that pale rugs never manage, and the border does half the work of arranging the furniture for you.
Palette notes
Forest and olive green with ivory, rose and soft gold in the blooms, inside a cream border.
Where it lives
A living room with the sofa fully on the rug, a formal dining room, or a large bedroom with the bed centered.
In the wash
Still a low-pile washable rug despite the formal look: cold gentle cycle, no bleach, air-dry flat, and rotate it twice a year.
