The design
The long cream runner is the brightest way to deal with a corridor. The off-white ground carries flowers in coral, blue and gold the full twelve feet, held between narrow borders on both long edges, and the extra width means the floor on either side reads as a deliberate margin. It is soft enough underfoot that it gets used as a standing mat in the kitchen as much as a walkway.
Palette notes
Cream and oatmeal with coral, crimson, cornflower blue and gold flowers.
Where it lives
A long kitchen with an island, a windowless hallway that needs lifting, or a run from the front door to the stairs.
In the wash
Vacuum daily, spot-clean spills, machine wash cold on gentle with no bleach, and air-dry flat without heat.
